When developing a new a system, the battery often considered only as an afterthought. In reality, the battery needs to be considered early in the system design process. The following document was developed as a primer for developing a battery powered system. It is not meant to be all inclusive or a step-by-step guide, but rather to point the reader in the right direction and provide areas that need consideration. The document is provided in an easily downloadable/printable format so it can be readily available offline and shareable across members of the product team.
